Mike Martin — Director

Mike joined the Tartan Board in 2006. He has been Chief Financial Officer of Banyan Capital Partners since 2005. Prior to Banyan, Mike spent three years with an accounting and tax consulting firm in Vancouver and spent three years on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange as a trader with a proprietary options arbitrage group. Mike has an Honors Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance) from the University of British Columbia, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Chartered Accountant. Additionally, Mike is currently a Director of Shanahan’s LP.

David Eisler — Director        

David joined the Tartan Board in 2014. David has been a Managing Director with Banyan Capital Partners® since 2000. Banyan is a Vancouver-based private equity firm that acquires mid-sized private companies. Prior to Banyan, David worked in investment banking with Scotia Capital Inc. After completing his undergraduate degree David worked for a high growth technology company headquartered in Bolton, Ontario. David has a degree in Engineering from Queen’s University, an MBA from the University of British Columbia and is a Professional Engineer. Over the past fourteen years David has been a director on a number of corporate boards.

Murray Peterson — Director

Murray has over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas, pipeline and utilities industries including senior positions with Nova, Foothills Pipelines and Husky Oil. He also worked as a consultant on oil, gas and pipeline projects and was Managing Director of Lloydminster Maintenance prior to it being acquired by Tartan. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Science from the University of Saskatchewan and is a registered Professional Engineer. Murray has served on a number of industry boards, including being the Past Chairman of Construction Labour Relations – Saskatchewan.

Pat Breen — Director

Pat has 40 years of experience in the oil and gas and manufacturing industries including senior management positions with Husky, Foremost and TAQA. He holds a BSc degree in Petroleum Engineering from the U of A and is a registered Professional Engineer. Pat previously served as a Director on the Board of Iteration Energy.
