A key component of the “Tartan” Community Involvement Program is a strong emphasis on local hiring. As our area operations continue to grow, we foresee that our local workforce will expand significantly, both in the trades as well as in management and administration. In addition to providing local employment and business, Tartan provides educational support through the Tartan Canada Scholarship Program in partnership with the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (“NAIT”). Tartan’s contribution to NAIT’s scholarship program provides four students with financial support each year. Each recipient is awarded $1,000 in scholarship funding. Tartan also makes a significant contribution to the communities in which it operates through the other activities noted below.
