Responsibilities • Understand and adhere to Tartan’s safety management system policies, procedures and values • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, • policies and procedures • Clean trucks as scheduled and/or required • Ensure trucks and equipment are safely and securely stored • Clean water tank as required • Pump out septic tanks of residential buildings, businesses and other facilities • Maintain daily records of pick-ups • Dispose of sewage according to set policies and procedures • Pick up refuse in other areas as required • Dispose of garbage according to set policies and procedures
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Team player and committed to safety and quality • Dependable and reliable • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision • Must be a self-starter with proven ability to make comprehensive decisions • Manual dexterity, good vision (glasses are acceptable), eye-hand coordination • The ability to concentrate on detailed work • The ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing of ladders and working on elevated work sites such as scaffolds, towers, and GLG’s • Experience in a heavy oil operating environment • Motivation to work in a fast paced, deadline team orientated environment
Qualifications • WHMIS • Valid driver’s license • Valid H2S Alive • CSTS • Valid First Aid (would be an asset) • Valid Fall Arrest (would be an asset) • Clearance of a pre-screen D & A test
